ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Abstract Submission Opens: Wednesday 15 October 2025
Deadline: 11:59pm, Sunday 14 December 2025
The main theme for ASID ASM 2025 is, ‘Exploring the Terrain: Humans, Vectors and Pathogens” highlighting our deepening relationship with the natural environment, its ecosystems, and the evolving pathways of disease transmission.
For your presentation to being considered, these abstract guidelines must be followed. Please ensure that the presenting author completes the abstract submission. Abstracts must be submitted by 11:59pm, Sunday 14 December, Australian, Daylight Savings Time.
PRESENTATION TYPE
Presentation type | Time allocation | Explanation |
Research-based oral presentation | 12 minute presentation + Q&A | Oral presentations on original research findings, case studies, completed projects and theoretical analyses. Presentations should be well structured, rigorous and demonstrate a novel contribution to knowledge |
Practice-based oral presentation | 12 minute presentation + Q&A | Oral presentations analysing issues and solutions to problems in clinical practice, community engagement, education, health promotion and policy. Presentations should be well structured, rigorous and demonstrate a novel contribution to knowledge and practice. |
Case study oral presentation | 12minute presentation + Q&A | Oral presentations on case studies describe the management of a patient emphasising the unusual clinical features that distinguished it from typical cases. It outlines the diagnostic and therapeutic decision-making process, including key challenges encountered. The case offers practical insights and lessons relevant to clinicians managing similar presentations. |
Poster Presentation | Permanently displayed during the Conference | Posters will be displayed within the exhibition and catering area. A number of top ranked posters in each theme will be allocated to a poster tour. |

One Health i.e. Epidemiology, Public Health and One Health | Abstracts will present research on the social, cultural, environmental, occupational, and economic factors affecting infectious diseases in Australia and the Pacific region. |

Abstract presenting authors will be required to fund their own attendance at the conference.
All presenting authors will be required to register for the conference. Any presenter not registered will be removed from the program.
